Out of hundreds of innovative businesses nationwide, being selected as a finalist by AXA and The London Standard is an unbelievable honour and a massive validation of what we are building here at MiCode.
Why We Entered: Scaling a Simple Mission to Save Lives
When we created MiCode, the goal was simple: to give people a quick, reliable way to share vital medical information and emergency contacts when they cannot speak for themselves. Whether it is a cyclist out on a solo road ride, someone managing a long-term health condition, or a person living with dementia, having immediate access to critical medical data saves precious time for emergency services.
We entered the AXA Startup Angel Competition because we wanted to bring that mission to a national stage. AXA is a brand synonymous with protection, security, and standing by people when unexpected emergencies happen. Their backing and mentorship represent the exact platform we need to expand our reach, innovate our product range, and ultimately help keep more families and individuals safe.
